Hey,you look like someone who up & left me low.

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”

The Oat Boat

Recently I made a few custom pieces for Otis.
Otis is 3 years old & awesome.
Not only can he do a mean fish face,he can also count with mad finesse.
He's also a stylish little fella.

mama + papa

I've always loved this photo of Mum & Dad.
It was taken when they first met.
Dad's jumper is the coolest.
Mother is a hot piece.

Wasson.

I'm a little bit of a closet Erin Wasson fan.
Maybe not so much closet now that I've openly admitted that.
It's not that I'm a fan of her body & want to
be her,because I personally don't think
she's that physically attractive.

I just like her because she's got mad style &
an overall fierceness about her.
She has this effortlessly cool vibe.
The clothes,the jewelry,the gorgeous face,the disheveled hair & the
girl skates,like actually skateboards.

home is.

A couple of weeks ago a friend & I got our auras read.
One colour that heavily showed up in my aura was green. The lady explained that a lot of my energy is derived from nature, that without it I find it hard to exist. It was a strange revelation to hear because I’d only been thinking about that a couple of weeks prior whilst laying on the grass in the front yard staring up into the sky.
Nature has always been my ‘home’,it has always comforted me and in a strange way I’ve found closeness in it.Just to know that there are things continuously thriving, existing and creating around me has been enough for me to not feel like I’m living a life of solitude.
To walk spontaneously into the bush alone has never washed me with a feeling of isolation.Likewise,to delve into the infinite sea has never made me feel detached because it’s alive, moving, changing.Nature almost feels like it’s a companion that is perpetual and in a way,I feel like it is honoring change instead of resisting it like most humans tend to do.

I find excitement in that.
The sun heavy on my skin is like a sincere hug; as is the sea enveloping my entire body, welcoming me into it’s watery realm. The palm leaf doing a little shimmy as it dances with the wind.

As long as there is nature,I will never be alone.

wolf like me.

In a dream I was a werewolf
My soul was filled with crystal light

Lavender ribbons of rain sang
Ridding my heart of mortal fright

Broken sundown fatherless showdown
Gun hip swollen lip bottle sip yeah I suck dick
Loose grip on gravity falls sky blinding crumbling walls
River sweep away my memories of
Children's things a young mother's love
Before the yearning song of flesh on flesh
Young hearts burst open wounds bleed fresh
A young brother skinny and tall my older walks
Oceanward and somber, slumber sleeping
Flowers in the water, but I'm just his daughter
Walking down an icy grave leading to my
Schizophrenic father. Weeping willow won't you wallow louder
Searching for my father's power

I'ma shake you off though
Get up on that horse and
Ride into the sunset
Look back with no remorse

He's a black magic wielder some say a witch
Wielded darkness when he was wilein on his mom's
And born child and he was the bastard that broke
Up the marriage evil doer doing evil from a baby carriage
And he was born with the same blue eyes
Crystal ships dripping with ice, diamonds coruscate
In the night fireworks electric bright
And now he's gots his own two sons
Tries to hide his tears in a world of fun
But loveless bedrooms filled with doom
Bring silent heartache July to June
Swoon over new young hot flame
Mourn the memories later
Laugh now alligator
Laugh now alligator

Oh in a dream
My love came to me
And made me swear
That I'd keep what's sacred to me
And if I get the choice
To fill in his name
I'll pray my way through the rain
Singing, Oh happy day

I don't mean to close the door
But for the record my heart is sore
You blew through me like bullet holes
Left stains on my sheets and stains on my soul
You left me broke down begging for change
Had to catch a ride with a man who's deranged
He had your hands and my father's face
Another Western vampire different time same place
I has dreams that brings me sadness
Rain much deeper than a river
Sorrow flow through me
Tiny waves of shivers
Corny movies make me reminisce
They break me down easy on this generic love shit
First kiss frog and princess

I'ma shake you off though
Get up on that horse and
Ride into the sunset
Look back with no remorse

pirate child.

Earlier this morning,a little girl about 3 years old walked up to me in the cat food isle of Woolies with a half eaten chocolate bunny in her hand.

She curled her chubby little bicep for me to see & stated
"HELLO!!!I'm like you! I've got pirate tattoos too!"
& crookedly placed on her upper arm was a glittery
temporary tattoo of a pirate ship.

Some kids are just really cool.

Once upon a time...

My psychologist posted this to me a few months ago in the mail.
She's cool like that.

Once upon a time...
a guy asked a girl
"Will you marry me?"

The girl said,"NO!"

And the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, camping, drank martinis, always had a clean house, never had to cook, had sex with whomever she pleased...did whatever the hell she wanted, never argued, travelled more, had many boyfriends, saved more money, had all the hot water to herself, watched chick flicks, never wore fricken lacy lingerie that went up her ass,had high self esteem, never cried or yelled, felt and looked fabulous in sweat pants, and burped, swore, and farted all the time.

THE END.

iPhone-tastic.

I'm not crazily into technology.Even though it can be great,I mostly find it disturbing.I've never had an excellent mobile phone because I haven't had the best track record with keeping my phone safe.My last phone was lost into the sea.Another phone I accidentally dropped out of a bus.One phone was crushed into a million pieces after a horrible break-up,I did a good job at making sure he couldn't contact me anymore.

But after much contemplation & anxiety over whether I could commit to both a classy phone & phone contract,I have somehow ended up with the new iPhone 4.

To start with I was hatin' on it.Now,I love it.Maybe a little too much.I love that I can mostly take pictures of anything at anytime.I'm always seeing things that inspire me along my everyday travels & I like that I can take a quick snap of it as a reminder.Kind of like a digital inspiration board.Everything is readily available on that phone, which is a little disturbing, but also quite handy.

Anyways, here are some of the 50 trillion shots I've taken on my iPhone.
