The Village Markets | design

As you may know,the past month I've been crazily busy getting back into creating once again for 2012.In between designing + sewing up the fresh new range of Autumn/Winter range.working on a few custom clothing orders.starting new design projects for different lovely clients,I've managed to finish one project for The Village Markets.

I love The Village Markets,it's a bit dear to my heart as I've been attending the markets since the beginning,first with my previous clothing label & now with Millie.Along the way I've constantly been proud of the work & progress that Sarah & Marissa have achieved with their gorgeous market space & the support + platform they've provided for young designers & artisans.So when they asked me if I would be interested in designing their new promotional merchandise for 2012 I was totally honoured & excited to partake!

After a few late nights sketching away,I was happy with this illustration for their new merchandise.A bit of a clean up + a few tweaks on zee Mac & I emailed off the new design to Marissa + Sarah who are now loving their fresh,new TVM merch design.

The Village Markets,Burleigh Heads | this Sunday!

We're wandering back down to Burleigh this Sunday 18th December for The Village Markets to pop up zee shanty stall & we're a little bit excited! 

I've been busy making fresh new Millie sea junk goodness including more a vibrant mixture of plush cushions + handmade illustrated greeting cards + art prints + guys sea trunks & t-shirts + little person clothing + a delicious range of assembled cloth for the ladies + muchos more! 

Drop by for a yarn + pick yourself up some handmade creative goodness. 

8am til 1pm,at Burleigh Heads State School.

Peregian Beach Markets + Originals | Sunday 20th November

Our 2nd expedition to the Peregian Beach Markets.

We had a gorgeous day selling artsy sea junk in our little pop-up shanty in the sunshine by the sea.Thankyous to my friends who popped by to help out + have yarns + giggles.And it was great meeting new customers,customers from last market & general smiley faces.Thankyou for your support!

Also a special thanks to the most squinchy little dog fella,Oddball.He was the stall mascot for the day & did an excellent job.

We stayed on afterwards for the Peregian Originals also which was a bit of fun in the sun.Some icey apple cider + shade from the scorching sun + swimming in the sea + gorgeous friends + silliness + great live bands,made for a most enjoyable afternoon.

Yesterday was so yum!!

It was the first real sign of a summer to come,bluest sky,warm,sunshine,clear water & people out & about enjoying their Sunday.

I hung out with my housemate Crispy.

We went wandering around Peregian markets,bought our weekly hourd of fresh fruit & veges.I picked up some shells & learnt from the shell man that a shell I collected from the Philippines long ago is a Tritons Trumpet Shell which is used in the Pacific as a ceremonial blow shell,cool.We drank organic iced chai whilst sitting under a big old palm along the beach & spoke copious amounts of shit.

Followed by getting lost in the Eumundi bookstore,buying myself a fresh new Moleskin art journal & then off to the Eumundi Pub for delicious eats + drinks.

Then we spent the afternoon frolicking in the gorgeous sea at Point Cartwright,before heading home to cook a feast of roast chicken + fresh veges + herbs from the back garden for dinner. 

Sunkissed,full bellies,yarns,laughing,refreshed by the sea & maybe even a bit of inspiration flooding back! SUNDAY BLISS.
